Definīcija:

The Commission's efforts in other areas are contributing towards reinforcing the positive effects of the single market. These include consumer protection policy, one of the aims of which is to allow consumers to benefit from the advantages of the single market. This is the aim of Directive 93/13/EEC on unfair clauses in contracts, along with other proposals currently before the Council. Studies are under way in several areas, including access to justice, after-sales services, cross-border mortgage loans, the transparency of banking services and the amendment of the Directive on contracts negotiated outside commercial establishments.
